TREC UNDERGOES A FACELIFT

Nicola Vega, February 2015

TREC has been in business since 2006, and as we approach nearly a decade of service we have decided to unify our look and rebrand ourselves more consistently. Mid 2014, Rajiv Bachan, redesigned our logo, and gradually we started using it in our forensic reports, company profile, invoices, signs and title blocks.

In keeping with updating our image, we have also undertaken the redesign of our website as well as establishing accounts on various social media platforms. Our new and potential clients have said that they found us on the internet, therefore we want them to find the most up to date information and user friendly web design. Our many many years of experience in engineering, does not necessarily mean that on the forefront of the newest web technologies and trends, so we must defer to the knowledge of our young and vibrant staff to guide us in the right direction.

TREC TEACHES IMPORTANT LESSONS

Nicola Vega, January 2015

TREC has recognized the value of creating our niche and as such we are building our reputation as Forensic Engineers. TREC is often the first point of contact for many claims adjusters seeking expert analysis on building failures. Poor construction techniques and the resulting structural failures are quickly becoming our bread and butter.

During our inspections we find that some of the most severe failures occur due to poor design or installation of water management details in the building envelope. These failures result in water penetration, condensation, air-leakage, moisture and structural related damage. In an effort to provide both knowledge and case studies gleamed from forensic investigations, TREC will provide a series of posts aimed at edifying the community about the causes of Structural Failures we have observed and determined through anaysis and investigation. Having integrity means showing our clients that we care more about the structural longevity of their buildings than profiting from their failures.
